These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and DoxaQ, the operator of the DoxaQ service at doxaq.doxaed.com (referred to as "DoxaQ", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
DoxaQ is a web-based application for hosting live multiple-choice quizzes and Visible Thinking Routines. Hosts create content; players join sessions using a 6-letter code. The service is available at https://doxaq.doxaed.com.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create a host account. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf. Players may join sessions without an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use DoxaQ to:
- Violate any law, infringe intellectual-property rights, or harm minors;
- Upload, share, or generate hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or fraudulent content;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without prior written permission;
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots) to access the service except where we explicitly permit it;
- Resell, sublicense, or wrap the service in a competing product without a written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules at our sole discretion.
4. Your content
You retain all ownership of the content you create on DoxaQ (quizzes, routines, prompts, responses, images you upload). By creating that content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and back up that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your participants.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any image, text, or other content you place into the service.
5. AI-generated content
Where the service offers AI-assisted quiz generation, the AI provider (Google Gemini at the time of writing) processes the input text you submit. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated questions for accuracy, bias, and suitability before using them with participants. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of AI-generated output.
6. Subscription, payment, and renewal
DoxaQ offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan at INR 100/month, billed via Razorpay. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel any time from your billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and Pro features remain available until that date.
New accounts may receive a complimentary 90-day Pro launch trial. After the trial ends the account moves to the free tier unless an active subscription is in place.
Pricing in INR is exclusive of any applicable taxes and bank charges. We may change pricing on prospective renewals with at least 30 days' notice.
7. Refunds
Our refund policy is published separately and forms part of these Terms. See the Cancellation and Refunds policy.
8. Intellectual property
The DoxaQ name, logo, design system, code, and underlying infrastructure are owned by DoxaQ. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the service in accordance with these Terms. The 21 Visible Thinking Routines are pedagogical frameworks developed by Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and are credited as such in the product.
9. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers for payments (Razorpay), AI generation (Google Gemini), and hosting infrastructure. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to data they receive from us in the course of providing those services.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep DoxaQ available continuously but do not guarantee uptime. We may take the service offline for maintenance, security, or technical reasons. We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by service interruptions.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice. On termination, your right to use the service ends; your data may be deleted in line with our retention policy.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DoxaQ against any claim arising from your use of the service in breach of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers and posted on this page. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dimapur, Nagaland.
